    Great Cortland Pumpkinfest
    Check out local crafts, live music, the Kids’ Zone, and more.
    When: Oct. 7 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Oct. 8 from noon-5 p.m.
    Where: Courthouse Park, Court St., Cortland.
    Cost: There is no admission fee, but some activities cost extra.

    LaFayette Apple Festival
    Returning for its 50th year, the festival will include craft vendors, a midway with rides and, of course, a variety of apple-themed foods.
    When: Oct. 7 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Oct. 8 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
    Where: 5330 Rowland Road, LaFayette.
    Cost: $6/person; free/ages 12 and under.

    Fall Festival, Chuck Hafner’s
    A variety of activities for all ages, including: bowling, pumpkin decorating, carnival games, animal demonstrations, zombie paintball, an obstacle course, and a Ghoulish Hole-in-One.
    When: Daily during store hours. There are weekend activities from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and special events on Oct. 1, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 21 & 22.
    Where: 7265 Buckley Road, North Syracuse.
    Cost: There is no admission fee, but some activities cost extra.

    Fall Fun Days, Fort Rickey Children’s Discovery Zoo
    Feed animals, paint pumpkins, take a tractor pull ride, and walk through the corn maze.
    When: Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (through Oct. 29).
    Where: 5135 Rome-New London Road, Rome.
    Cost: $10.75 (plus tax)/adults (16+); $8.75 (plus tax)/ages 2-15; free/under 2. Some activities cost extra.

    Fall Harvest Celebration, Critz Farms
    This annual event features farm animals, wagon rides, playgrounds, cider making demonstrations, a corn maze (this year’s design is a fire-breathing dragon), and more.
    When: Daily from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. (through Oct. 22).
    Where: 3232 Rippleton Road, State Route 13, Cazenovia.
    Cost: Weekends: $10/person (free/ children under 2).
    Weekdays: Fee for activities.
